My wife and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and decided to spend it in Scotland. After taking several self catering holidays per year for the whole of our married life, as many as seven per year, since retirement we can honestly say that Pine Marten Cottage was the best we have ever stayed in. It was a lovely cottage in a wonderful location and the hospitality of the owners was second to none. If we go back to the same area again we will certainly try for the same cottage.

We had a great holiday, and the cottage was a fab base....lovely and clean, very warm and cosy and beautiful views from every window! The owners were friendly and helpful, too. We would recommend staying in this cottage.

Amazing! Glencoe is such a beautiful part of Scotland. We enjoyed many walks taking in all the scenery and on numerous occasions were joined by deer. We were very impressed with the cottage, clean, spacious and homely, with a beautiful view.

What a beautiful cottage. Set in a peaceful cul-de-sac with gorgeous views of the mountains. The cottage was immaculate with everything you need. We travelled as a family of 4 and enjoyed every moment. The welcome bottle of wine, shortbread biscuits and fudge were so thoughtful and there was even tea and coffee provided. It was comfortable, cosy, quiet and picturesque! We'll definitely be back!!

In general I thought the house was very good. There are only two minor points I would mention. Firstly, only one side of the double bed had a bedside table - I would have liked one on my side too. Secondly we thought the dining table in the lounge could have been a bit bigger. These are only minor points though and we both enjoyed our week at Pine Marten Cottage very much and would certainly consider coming again.

We had a fabulous time staying in Pine Marten Cottage. Surrounded by beautiful scenery in a quiet location in the old part of Ballachulish, which is situated on the banks of Loch Leven. The cottage is very clean and modern. It is spacious with 2 decent sized double bedrooms (beds can be twin or zipped together to make a superking bed) and a shower room. Downstairs there is a good sized kitchen/living area with well equipped kitchen and utility area, Dining table, flat screen tv. Lots of games etc provided. 2 large sofas (at least one is also a bed). Also a downstairs cloakroom. Outside space also. Parking. There are local eateries and pubs. A local co-op store and it is right on the doorstep of lots of fabulous walks and drives and outdoor activities. Easy to get to many places from here such as Glencoe, Glen Etive, Ben Nevis, Loch Ness, and the Jacobite Steam Railway in Fort William. The owners are just next door if you need anything and they are lovely and welcoming, without being intrusive. Lovely couple. We would highly recommend this cottage and would definitely stay there again ourselves.

Wonderful cottage and hosts. The views were fabulous. The cottage was beautifully furnished, extremely well stocked and there were so many lovely touches throughout. The village of Ballinchulish was lovely and provided easy access to Glencoe, the valley, Ft. William, Oban and the three island cruises to Mull, Iona and staffa as well as multiple other important and lovely sites. Great place to stay!
