Carnglaze Caverns offers an atmospheric subterranean experience whilst the Minions is amongst some of the highest moorland, where crumbling engine houses whisper tales of a once-thriving mining past. When the coast calls, the charming fishing villages of Looe and Polperro are just a short drive away, once infamous for tales of smuggling in the moonlight night. Golden beaches and the dramatic cliffs of Whitsand Bay, Downderry, and Seaton await discovery, whilst the world-renowned Eden Project, historic Charlestown and Lost Gardens of Heligan are all with a short drive. The ancient town of Liskeard is worth exploring, where you can catch a train towards St Austell on the beautiful Looe Valley Line or east towards Plymouth the historical naval city on the mainline service.
