Boasting a comfortable, open-plan living space with a wood burner and well-equipped kitchen, each barn has its own enclosed, walled, lawned garden with seating. There is a function hall on-site (with conference and catering facilities for up to 250 guests) which may be available for use by prior arrangement with the owner.

Neighbouring the owner’s farm, Piggyback Barns are situated in the peaceful village of Sculthorpe, just 8 miles from the Norfolk coastline with its wealth of sandy beaches, and RSPB bird and nature reserves. Excellent walking and cycling can be enjoyed from the doorstep and fishing is nearby.
Fakenham, 2 miles, offers good shops, restaurants, inns, a bowling alley, cinema and golf course. Bustling Burnham Market with village shops, inns and restaurants, is 7 miles away. Wells-next-the-Sea, 8 miles, offers an excellent sandy beach with colourful beach huts, a small shopping town centre with many inns and restaurants, and a picturesque fishing harbour - popular for fresh shell fish. Further along the coast is Brancaster for an uncrowded sandy beach and golf course. Brancaster Staithe provides a popular venue for sailing and boating enthusiasts.

The traditional seaside towns of Heacham and Hunstanton offer an array of activities for all ages. Many places of historical interest and stately homes are within the surrounding area. 20 minutes’ drive away is the historical town of Kings Lynn for shopping, market place, restaurants, inns and theatre, and also Norwich city for excellent shopping, castle museum, cathedral, theatre, market place, restaurants and inns. Beach 8 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for 10 people and well equipped. We enjoyed watching the visiting wildlife seen from the house; hares, partridges, oyster catchers, a Little Owl, and a kite. Also loved the pond with two swans and some shy ducks. We were situated in an ideal location to visit Kings Lynn, Sandringham and the beautiful coast. Loved it.

A lovely barn in a delightful location with the Norfolk Coast Path - to which we wanted easy access - just a few miles away. The barn, in early November, was warm, cosy and well equipped and with 5 bedrooms all with en-suite facilities, it suited our mature walking group perfectly. Gastro pubs in the area were superb. Perhaps the only drawback was the fact that our canine companion had to be confined to the living area. We booked the barn on the basis of its pet-friendly credentials and were disturbed (as he was!) to find he was restricted in this way. The dog is friendly and well behaved but suffers from separation anxiety. The first night was a nightmare so one of us slept with him in the living area. Such restrictions should be made clear when booking.
