Description

After a busy day exploring one of the many attractions in the area, relax in your own 6-seater hot tub.

Just 4 miles from beautiful, dune-backed beaches and 7 miles from the popular seaside resort of Prestatyn, this stunning, detached holiday home is ideal for families looking to explore both sides of the Welsh/English border. Enjoying a rural location within the village of Lloc, and set on a substantial plot with views over open countryside, Pheasant Fields provides spacious and comfortable accommodation. It successfully combines lots of traditional features such as exposed brickwork, stone, beams and a fireplace, with the everyday comforts one expects from a holiday home. These features include high-spec kitchen and bathrooms, a cosy wood-burning stove, wi-fi, smart TVs in all the bedrooms and a built-in music system which can be enjoyed anywhere within the house and also outside whilst relaxing in the hot tub.
Pheasant Fields is just 3 miles from the Flintshire market town of Holywell. Known as the ‘Lourdes of Wales’, the town takes its name from St Winefrid’s Well, which has been a popular place for pilgrimage since the Roman times. The well can be found within Greenfield Valley Heritage Park which runs alongside a stream. The park is also home to the ruins of 12th-century Basingwerk Abbey and a number of historic mill buildings, as well as more recently recreated cottages, farmhouses and a Victorian school. Children will also enjoy the farm museum, and there are lots of woodland walks with picnic areas and several small lakes, which are a haven for local bird life. Activities available locally include horse riding, fishing and golf. There are lots of attractions within easy driving distance of Pheasant Fields and discover the beautiful woodland walk adjacent to the property.
The popular coastal resorts of Rhyl, Prestatyn and Talacre can all be reached in around 15 minutes. Families with children will enjoy Chester Zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium, which are both within a 30-minute drive. For the more adventurous, why not visit Llandegla, 40 minutes, and try mountain biking, shooting or laser combat. Other places worth visiting within half an hour are Conwy, with its historic castle, and the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno. Llangollen, Snowdonia and Anglesey can all be reached in an hour. Across the border, the historic city of Chester, with its great shops, bars, restaurants and racecourse, is just 30 minutes away, and Liverpool is 45 minutes. With so much to see and do right on the doorstep, this is the perfect base for a family holiday. Beach 4 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub 2 miles, restaurant 3 miles.

This is a fantastic property and we really enjoyed our stay. The house itself is beautiful and has been done to a very high standard so is a joy to be in if you intend to spend a lot of time without leaving the house. Location-wise it is very convenient to get to, but does require a drive if you want anything other than a woodland walk (which was nice by the way!). There's a Spar just down the road and local towns nearby so amenities are all pretty close. All in all I really enjoyed our stay and would certainly book again.

We booked this house for a family celebration and it did not disappoint. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for a family of 10. The amenities in side and outside the house were excellent, it catered for all ages. The rooms were stylish and very comfortable and were even decorated for Christmas! It was all beautiful! The hot tub was ready to use on arrival which was great and there were toys and swings outside for the children to play with. The house is close to lots of places to visit both historically and pubs and restaurants: we will definately be returning in 2019 !

Excellent cottage, was warm and comfortable, more than enough space for large groups. Beds are huge and very comfortable. Finished to a high spec throughout and loved the built in sound system throughout the house! Only one suggestion, the hot tub could do with a step to get in and out. Most of us were fine, but our shorter friend did struggle a little bit!

We are group of 9 hard-working nurses from bolton and found this little gem, this was our 13th year away and I can definitely say 13 wasn't an unlucky number for us, it is by far the nicest place we have stayed yet. Gorgeous house, extremely clean. We met the owner who is such a lovely man (he owns the pig farm just across from the house but there is no smell or noise from there). We also met the lovely lady who does the cleaning there and it's fair to say she has a big job but does it do well. I could go on and on about how nice everything is but I feel it would bore you. We enjoyed it that much though we have even booked ready for next year and I am hoping to take the family

The cottage is absolutely gorgeous, as we entered, it smelled lovely. The interior was beautiful and very well looked after. Lovely welcome gift basket of fresh eggs, milk, bread & wine. The owner came and showed us how to work the sound system & hot tub. Trips to Conway Castle & welsh mountain zoo (around 30 mins drive) . Had some amazing family time and already looking at going back again.
