We enjoyed our stay at Penty-Lowarth, and would stay again in the future. It is situated perfectly, in beautiful surroundings, in an area that is brilliant for site seeing the surrounding coastal towns etc, but away enough from the busy roads to enjoy the tranquility etc. It is close to Newquay airport, so planes fly low over the cottage, but it was lovely to see the planes fly over etc. There are only a couple of things why we scored under 10, and that was with it not having an oven, as we felt it was more equiped for those who like to eat out a lot, and not catered for those who like to eat in, and although the microwave was a combi, it was still a difficult thing to use for somethings I wanted to cook etc, the other reason we haven't scored high, was that there were none of the little things as we arrived, such as toilet rolls, something to make a brew etc, as these little things help to tie you over until you can do shopping for those necessities, and every cottage we have stayed in over the years, have always left these little touches, so I was not prepared (for the 1st time in all the years I have been visiting Devon/Cornwal etc), as I thought I wouldn't need to bring them with me, with never needing them previously, when I have brought them. The owners were lovely people, and were very pleasant. It is quite a small cottage, but plentyful for 2 people.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are glad you enjoyed your stay last year at Penty-Lowarth. We are the new owners and have just re-opened for bookings again. You are right about it being perfectly situated....as newcomers ourselves we are loving exploring Cornwall from here too. We have refurbished the cottage and added a few touches to make it even more welcoming - a cosy wood burner for those brisk Autumn/ Winter evenings around the corner, a new oven and dishwasher to make eating in easy, and a new look interior. We look forward to setting up a small pottery studio in the main house during the coming months where guests will be able to book a class. It would be great to welcome you back for a visit sometime soon in beautiful Cornwall.
