This is a remote cottage but that’s exactly what we wanted. It has stunning views from every window. The driveway is quite steep, noticeable if you try walking up it, but not too bad in the car. It’s very well equipped and comfortable with all your home comforts. It was the ideal place for a relaxing holiday away from it all, no phone signal or WiFi. We would highly recommend this cottage.

We had a fantastic time here. Stunning location, no wifi, no mobile reception, it was the total break we much needed as a family. The barn is amazing, our kids loved it being up side down (lounge and kitchen upstairs and bedrooms downstairs) comfy bedrooms, plenty of equipment etc in the kitchen. There is plenty to do in the local area, red squirrels, wensleydale cheese, stunning walks and close enough to the lake district as well. Can't wait to return there.

Lovely location but quite difficult access, five gates to open and close and a very steep track, covered in leaves in autumn. We had been assured that there was a phone in the property but alas there was not and no mobile signals either. Apart from the frustration of lack of communication we had an enjoyable week.
