Pack your bags and head off on an adventure of pure relaxation at the truly rural location.

For countryside lovers, this delightful stone barn conversion is approached by a steep ¼ mile track and sits above the Mallerstang Valley. Peggy’s Barn is surrounded by magnificent scenery and has been thoughtfully converted to make the most of the stunning views with the living areas on the first floor. This is the perfect place for a family or a group of friends to ‘get away from it all’ and enjoy the beautiful countryside within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The owner even provides a welcome pack to help you settle in.
Imagine waking up in the morning and preparing a traditional English breakfast in the spacious dining kitchen and admiring the view down the valley towards the rolling hills. On warm summer evenings enjoy the rural tranquillity from the sitting-out area while watching the setting sun.
The living room provides a peaceful place to rest after a day out exploring the area, and the electric fire sets the scene for a cosy night in. The bedrooms are sumptuously furnished with soft fluffy duvets and pillows, contributing to a restful night’s sleep in preparation for the day ahead.
The wild and dramatic scenery of Mallerstang forms part of the 100 mile walking route of ‘Lady Anne’s Way’ where you will discover hidden villages, museums, castles and stunning scenery along the way. Why not enjoy the Yorkshire Dales from the comfort of a railway carriage and take a journey on the Settle to Carlisle Railway. Peggy’s Barn is in an idyllic location for that perfect break.

Beautiful cottage, wonderful location with spectacular views though over shadowed by the need to clean for the first 2 hours of our holiday. Extremely dirty and although a lot of it was clearly dirt accumulated over time, there were also issues that were clearly from recent activity. Chair seats dirty/dishwasher needed cleaning before we could put dirty pots/plates in that had been put back in cupboard dirty/shower had to be cleaned before use and plug holes dirty though a lot of that was down to the hard water and lime scale. Although it was wonderful being somewhere without the modern day Email/phone signals etc. A worry that you had to travel 3 miles in order to get a phone signal.
