Originally dating back to the 1600s as part of Mainsfield Farm, the barns, dairies, and hay stores have been transformed in a £1.2 million restoration, now offering five luxury holiday cottages – Wagtail, Swallow, Barn Owl, Peewit and Red Kite – collectively sleeping up to 22 guests.

Peewit Cottage is a stylish ground-floor retreat, designed with comfort in mind and fully pet-friendly. The open-plan living and dining area features a flicker-effect fire, smart TV and comfortable seating, while the modern, well-equipped kitchen has everything needed for a relaxed self-catering stay. Two double bedrooms with ample storage and a sleek bathroom with a walk-in double shower make this an inviting and practical space for couples, families or friends travelling with dogs. One of Peewit’s highlights is its private indoor spa suite with a bubbling hot tub, breakfast bar and robe hangers – the perfect place to unwind. The large doors can be opened to bring the outside in, while a thoughtful dog crate is provided so pets can rest safely while you soak. Outside, the shared courtyard patio offers tables and seating for both private moments and socialising, along with a pergola for sheltered relaxation.
