This terraced, 18th-century, former fisherman’s cottage is situated in the heart of the quaint fishing village of Lympstone. The property has some quirky features, including an original fireplace, and the single bedroom, with its sloping ceilings, has a small play/den area. The cottage has been decorated to offer a wonderful base for a family holiday or for friends to get together.
On the Exe estuary, midway between the old port of Topsham and the seaside resort of Exmouth, here, the beautiful sandy beaches and rock pools are at the start of the Jurassic Coast and form part of the South West Coastal Path. The estuary has a picturesque harbour, is a renowned nature reserve, and a haven for wildlife and migrating birds. The village has a number of pubs that serve lunchtime and evening meals, and a shop, all within easy walking distance. Crealy Adventure Park is just 3 miles away and for cyclists there are many cycle ways. There is a cycle way which runs from Exmouth, through Lympstone and onto Topsham and the Exeter canal, running most of the way alongside the river. There are many National Trust properties, all waiting to be explored. The city of Exeter is within easy reach, Woodbury common is on the doorstep and Dartmoor is an easy drive. Beach 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

This was a last minute holiday so on paper I may not have booked this cottage but I'm glad it was available .I didn't realise the estuary with lovely views was seconds from our front door ..this was so unexpected that my daughter gasped when she saw it . The pub next door was lively but never encroached on our holiday enjoyment .There was a fab cafe just doors away and a great little shop opposite . 10 min in the car to exmouth and 4 minutes on the train which is a minutes walk . The cottage is quirky and a little dated but I felt relaxed and at home .My daughter loved her top floor room with toys and games . Overall I loved the village and the calm energy ,if you have mobility problems you may struggle but it is good value for money compared to the ridiculous amounts some people are asking for .

Lovely cottage with reasonable amenities although they were a bit tired. The dishwasher didn't work and the shower fell off wall on first use. Old fashioned furnishings from 1980's but in good repair. Opposite a very popular pub so quite noisy. The Village is on national cycle trail so always busy and we needed to look out for cyclists at all times. The trail itself is not very safe for walkers . If you can get over these issues which we did, we loved the outlook over the river exe just captivating due to lovely weather which is around the corner and found everyone very friendly. Something about it is just lovely but for the money - could be better value and didn't wor i.e. The dishwasher and
