Owls Rest is a stone-built luxury apartment in the Yorkshire Dales located on the edge of the charming village of Askwith, approximately half way between spa town of Ilkley and market town of Otley. The property is stylishly decorated and furnished throughout offering a fantastic holiday retreat ideally situated to explore the stunning Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Yorkshire Dales and in particular, Wharfedale. From the car, across the patio to the front door entrance to the mid-level of the apartment and up a few steps to the spacious main open plan living area. At one end is a well-equipped kitchen for all your culinary needs, with a central dining area, and at the far end, a comfy sofa with Smart TV, ideal for a romantic movie night. Down the split-level staircase to lower floor, Owls Rest has a delightful bedroom with a plush double bed, clothes hanging and storage. Opposite the bedroom is the shower room with large shower cubicle, toilet, sink, heated mirror and towel rail. To the rear of the property via the external bedroom door is a breakfast patio area, ideal for morning coffee watching the sunrise. Cycling is popular in the area. For the less active, a visit to Ilkley, known for the famous Cow and Calf Rocks overlooking the town and legendary Betty’s Cafe Tea Rooms are certainly worth visiting. Down the Wharfe lies the lovely market town of Otley, offering a variety of shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs. Bolton Abbey is just a short drive away with lots of walks on the magnificent 30,000-acre Devonshire estate with picture-perfect picnic spots beside the river. The charming market town of Skipton, also known as ‘the gateway to the Dales’, is just 25 minutes away and is home to an ancient castle, cobbled high street, fish and chip shops and a colourful street market. There are golf courses, fishing, reservoir, hill and river walks not forgetting several charming country pubs close by.
