These four lodges, each with a hot tub on the decking, offer differently styled accommodation for groups of six or eight. Ideal for holidays or visiting the two large wedding venues nearby in Otterburn. Leafy Run (ref W44043) is a contemporary style lodge with a hot tub, and has a peaceful decked area. Decorated to a very good standard, and slightly smaller than its sister lodge, Squirrel Lodge (ref W44044) is the first lodge on the edge of this small exclusive park. Set over two levels, this quirky and unusual lodge is a lovely retreat for relaxing in, whether you are indulging in the private hot tub or sitting on either of the two verandahs. Leafy Retreat (ref UKC2663) has high spec granite worktops in the kitchen, built-in bedroom furniture and lovely bathrooms. Reiver’s Rest (ref UKC3402) has been completely renovated in 2018, with a private hot tub on the raised south-facing decking and backs onto the woodland in the top corner of the park, with walks from the door. With a fully renovated restaurant on site, the lodges are less than a mile from the centre of the village of Otterburn, on the very edge of the Northumberland National Park. The park is just inside the Gold Tier International Dark Sky Park, the largest in Europe, ideal for stargazers and astronomers. The village has a mill shop, and the shop/café sells local produce. A highly acclaimed wedding venue, Le Petit Château is easily accessed only a mile away and guests can enjoy staying in the lodges and having some down time after the wedding. The long wooded drive up to the park sets the scene for your break away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

A perfect base for couples or families to explore the Northumberland National Park, Kielder Forest and observatory, and the Scottish Borders. Situated 16 miles from the border counties, outdoor enthusiasts will love this location which is a favourite with walkers and adventure seekers. Bellingham is close by and has a choice of tea rooms, pubs and village shops. A day trip to Alnwick, with its famous castle, and the Northumberland Heritage Coast, which is peppered with castles and beaches, make for fine days out. Hadrians Wall is only a few miles away and is steeped in history, with Roman forts and museums along the way. Hexham and Rothbury are easily accessible, and have plenty of pubs and shops. Beach 35 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub ¾ mile and restaurant on-site.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 28 guests.

Lovely setting. Cottage clean, comfortable and modern. A play park on site would have been good for the grandchildren. Overall we all had a lovely weekend break.

When booked it stated the fourth bedroom had bunk beds for the kids but when we showed up no bunk beds and was a double bed instead not any good as it was a boy and girl cousin sharing a bed even sent an email stating this and they assured me it was a bunk bed very disappointed about that but everything else was lovely

The cottage needs a bit of maintenance but overall really loved it. The hot tub needed cleaning although chemicals put in each day looked a bit haphazard

Such a great place for friends to gather and have a weekend away. 20 minute walk into Otterburn centre and 5 second walk into the most picturesque woodland. Very reasonably priced, everything was like brand new. The only negative is that there are no numbers or names on the chalets so we wandered around for a while looking for the right one. It would also be helpful to have a welcome book so you know how to use the hob/oven. Other than those minor points, we will definitely be going back.

After my initial confusion we had a nice relaxing holiday here. I was confused because I thought it was going to be a small group of 4 cabins but there are dozens there, and we arrived to a very rowdy party happening on our neighbours decking. It was hard to work out which one was ours and even when we got inside it was completely different to the photos on the booking site because it had a makeover. We had planned on bunk beds as per the description but there weren’t any. Also no keys inside as advised and no instructions for anything so quite hard to work out how the heating/cooker/TV/dishwasher etc worked. We are used to finding some sort of welcome pack with nearest shops/pubs etc but nothing. Anyway it was clean, modern and comfortable. We loved the hot tub and the nearby walks. It is a very long way away from most places eg nearest big supermarket is a 45 minute drive. It was a quiet, peaceful break in a comfy lodge.

No instructions for the oven and microwave, the oven had to be changed due to no settings on the dials to set cooking mode and temperature the dish washer did not work for two days due to a fault, wardrobe damaged, soap and sponge holder in shower were rusty. On arrival obtained key from the coded key holder but no keys inside the lodge

Only disappointment was we didn’t receive cooker instructions from Mandy and on our last full day sunday the hot tub did not heat up so we couldn’t use it. I reported to owner via text and received nothing back so won’t be staying again.
