This property is part of our Cottages4you collection

In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

Situated in stunning rural scenery and overlooking a 120-acre loch, this property is located only 4 miles from Stirling.

Stunning scenery

Only 4 miles from the historic city of Stirling, yet hidden away in a truly magnificent and peaceful rural scenery means a perfect location for year-round holidays. Osprey Hideaways overlooks the owners’ own 120-acre loch where ospreys can be seen feeding most days in season. 300ft high cliffs frame the far side of the water, making the views genuinely stunning. All the cottages are furnished to a very high boutique standard and provide excellent accommodation for couples or family groups. A welcome pack is provided including a bottle of bubbly so that you can relax as soon as you arrive. There is also lovely linen, towels, bathrobes - and even slippers! To top this off is the honesty room where you can borrow books, a huge selection of DVDs, games, toys and visitor information. The owners live on site and are there to help as much (or as little!) as you want.

Each cottage has been named after birds that are regularly seen flying overhead, and are perfectly located to enjoy the best of both worlds at any time of the year - the peace of the countryside and the amenities and activities of the city. As well as being only 4 miles from Stirling city centre, it’s only 5 miles to the motorway junction for surprisingly quick journey times to Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow and all their facilities. Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park is 20 miles away and the mountains to the north or the beautiful sea lochs to the west are all within a 2 hour drive. There are numerous golf courses locally and even the Gleneagles course is only 35 minutes’ away. For walks the choice is endless and one of the best cliff-top walks in central Scotland starts right at the cottages! Stirling is a vibrant but compact university city offering wonderful attractions, including an incredible castle, the amazing Wallace Monument, the historic Church of the Holy Rude and even ghost tours. There are restaurants to suit all tastes, swimming pools, sport centres, multiplex cinema, theatre, museum, pubs and shops. The best bit is that Stirling is very much a year round destination. The perfect place for the perfect holiday! Shops, pubs and restaurants 4 miles.

Had a lovely time in a comfortable and well presented cottage. Liked the extra little touches like the bath robes and slippers, welcome hamper and champagne on arrival. The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful and always on hand if needed.

Another great stay at Osprey cottage. A really lovely place, so comfortable & cosy with everything we needed, especially the amazing views. Would highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back again!

A luck find so close to a major concert, the roadworks were just a minor inconvenience. We were close enough to Sterling so only2 hours maybe 3 to most of the places on our list. The view was fantastic.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; I'm glad you had a great holiday and enjoyed the last ever Runrig concert. Two nights of music and 25,000 people at each concert - quite an experience. You'll be pleased to know that the road works are scheduled to be finished before the end of September this year. Stirling Council has closed our main access road as they are replacing an entire bridge. Once reopened guests will once again have only a quick drive of approximately ten minutes to the motorway and easy access to Edinburgh, Glasgow and all of our seemingly endless and beautiful countryside.

If you want a quiet, secluded cottage nestled amongst the best cliff walks in Central Scotland then this is it. You're 10 mins from the centre of Stirling, 5 mins drive to the motorway for Glasgow and Edinburgh, but you'd have no idea. It's a joyous place, filled with love and laughter, George and Morag are impeccable hosts. We love it, allows us a break from the London rat race. A return is never in doubt.

Our second stay at this beautiful little development. The quality of the cottages is top notch and the location is beautiful and tranquil, just above a small reservoir / loch. The welcome pack is a lovely touch (including a bottle of bubbly) and the owners are available if needed but very unobtrusive. We hope to stay yet again, in the future!
