This property is part of our Cottages4you collection

In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

Overlooking a private 120-acre loch, this property is located just 4 miles away form the centre of Stirling.

Stunning scenery

Only 4 miles from the historic city of Stirling, yet hidden away in a truly magnificent and peaceful rural scenery means a perfect location for year-round holidays. Osprey Hideaways overlooks the owners’ own 120-acre loch where ospreys can be seen feeding most days in season. 300ft high cliffs frame the far side of the water, making the views genuinely stunning. All the cottages are furnished to a very high boutique standard and provide excellent accommodation for couples or family groups. A welcome pack is provided including a bottle of bubbly so that you can relax as soon as you arrive. There is also lovely linen, towels, bathrobes - and even slippers! To top this off is the honesty room where you can borrow books, a huge selection of DVDs, games, toys and visitor information. The owners live on site and are there to help as much (or as little!) as you want.

Each cottage has been named after birds that are regularly seen flying overhead, and are perfectly located to enjoy the best of both worlds at any time of the year - the peace of the countryside and the amenities and activities of the city. As well as being only 4 miles from Stirling city centre, it’s only 5 miles to the motorway junction for surprisingly quick journey times to Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow and all their facilities. Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park is 20 miles away and the mountains to the north or the beautiful sea lochs to the west are all within a 2 hour drive. There are numerous golf courses locally and even the Gleneagles course is only 35 minutes’ away. For walks the choice is endless and one of the best cliff-top walks in central Scotland starts right at the cottages! Stirling is a vibrant but compact university city offering wonderful attractions, including an incredible castle, the amazing Wallace Monument, the historic Church of the Holy Rude and even ghost tours. There are restaurants to suit all tastes, swimming pools, sport centres, multiplex cinema, theatre, museum, pubs and shops. The best bit is that Stirling is very much a year round destination. The perfect place for the perfect holiday! Shops, pubs and restaurants 4 miles.

Amazing. From walking in the door I knew we had chosen well. The owners George and Morag have thought of everything and to the highest of quality. You really do only need to take your clothes! And everything is within 10 minute drive, an abundance of supermarkets, things to do and stunning scenery. We will definitely return as we didn't even scratch the surface!

Really enjoyed stay. The cottage was really clean and well equipped. The view from the bedroom window was fantastic and the setting so peaceful. Loved returning each evening to the peace and quiet. There were plenty places to visit within easy distance-Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument, Bannockburn,The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel. Edinburgh was easy to reach too. Anyone looking for a base would find this a great cottage.

Although only 4.5 miles from Stirling it is worth taking your time getting there. The single track roads were a challenge and the numerous potholes in them kept your attention but having got there the cottage was everything as promised. The central heating kept the place cosy. The cottage was beautifully clean, the welcome pack was adequate and the views to the rear are magnificent. The tv and internet connection was patchy but what you would expect in the “wilds”. Overall I loved the cottage and the views and it is a good place to be based if you want to investigate this part of Scotland. The owner assisted us not only with directions to the local hotspots,ie, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Falkirk, but with a minor problem with the shower

Such a lovely place to stay and extremely well appointed. Lots to do in the area and then such a pleasure to return to the cottage and enjoy this lovely place. The owners have done an excellent job.
