Lovely, friendly family who made us feel welcome. Very helpful too, pointing us in the direction of some very nice pubs, with good food, in the local area. Enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, spacious & very well equipped cottage which is ideally situated for exploring the many local attractions. Although no local amenities it is only a 5 minute drive to Warminster with pubs, shops & 3 supermarkets (Waitrose, Morrisons & Lidl). Enjoyed being on the farm, feeding the chickens and enjoying the company of dogs, cats & horses.

People before us made a mess of things. Landlady tried her best. Very good beds, many and clean bath rooms, well heated, but also many woodlice on ground floor due to the wet weather. Mind the head if your over 1m80 for the door frames of the bed rooms.

Had a really lovely stay at Oldfield again, wonderful location and perfect to explore Wiltshire. Lovely to see the deer in the field, horses, dogs and ferrets on the farm. Very close to Warminster so perfect for shopping and takeaways. Beds were very comfortable, in fact they were the best beds we've ever had in a holiday cottage. A few things that could be improved: 1. The showers are not very powerful, it would be good if there was better water pressure. 2. There seemed to be a lot of woodlice in the house, specifically the downstairs bedroom and bathroom. This may need investigating. 3. The duvets were slightly heavy for the time of year, a lower tog would have been better. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Fabulous family holiday in Oldfield - plenty of space, very well supplied, lots of extras which made a home from home. Master bedroom is stunning - a real luxury for us! We loved the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, yet only a lovely 20 minute stroll into town through the woods and over the river. Delightful! So many things to do and see, we filled our 2 weeks, and certainly plan to return to do the things we couldn't fit in! We would definitely recommend Oldfield for a holiday if you want somewhere to switch off, enjoy some views, local wildlife (birds, deer) with plenty to do virtually on the doorstep.

very clean comfortable cottage, near many local attractions i.e. Longleat and Bath. The owner was very helpful, and we enjoyed our stay very much despite the wet weather.

Excellent cottage, and would definitely stay again. There are no local amenities, because it is idyllically located in on a farm, miles from anyone.
