Well equipped and finished character property in lovely quiet location. Our children and dog really enjoyed the private garden and communal estate grounds. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys the countryside with cosy home comforts.

Lovely cottage and beautiful enclosed garden, perfect retreat very peaceful. Had everything you could possibly need for self catering, decent sized pans too which is necessary for feeding the family. Great selection of books, games and DVDs. Just one minor negative was that there wasn't a bbq, we made do with disposable ones but a bbq would have given a perfect 10 :)

Oak cottage is an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of inner city life. The cottage is tastefully decorated offering a perfect home from home feel with an excellent kitchen and exceptionally comfortable beds. The enclosed garden is perfect for dogs and has the added bonus of an array of birdlife. Most nights we fell asleep to the hooting of owls and awoke to woodpeckers. Although very remote it did not 'feel' isolated, in fact, the property was so comfortable and comforting 'like your favourite blanket'. The cleanliness and warm welcome from Maria was lovely - the scones were a delicious welcome gift washed down with a perfect cuppa. The ponds on the property and the field offered a quick walk and run for the dog before lying down in front of the wood burner for the night. If you want a perfect getaway I would highly recommend a visit. We will definitely return.

Lovely cottage, really beautifully maintained. Be aware that the location is very isolated, there are no walking distance shops or pubs. That may be exactly what you are looking for, who knows! However just within a few miles drive you do have lot of gorgeous landscapes and fun visitor attractions, in that aspect it is very well located. The cottage is very comfortable and cosy and may well end up here again next year.

Great location for walking the coastal path. My only complaint was that in the bath room you cannot wash your face as a unit is just above the sink!
