We had a great week at Rook cottage, very comfortable and a well equipped kitchen. The swimming pool was an added bonus and had it all to ourselves when we used it. Although we didn't have any children with us, it would be brilliant for a family, the safe play area and the leisure room are ideal, and there was a highchair and travel cot in the cottage. It was nice to have everything on the same level. It was very quiet and had ample of parking. The only downside is you can't walk into the town and the roads are very narrow.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you very much for your lovely rating. We do appreciate it. We are pleased you found Rook Cottage comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Having all rooms on one level makes for easy living. We use Rook with our grandchildren as well, they love it there. The car park, as you say, has ample parking. It is indeed very quiet and peaceful as it is set in the countryside with easy access to both Dartmoor, Teignmouth, Torquay, Totnes and all the local beaches. You are welcome back at Rook Cottage.

Lovely, spacious cottage with a high quality finish and very well equipped. It was very quiet and peaceful but well-located for day trips both inland to Dartmoor and to the coast. The swimming pool was a massive bit with the whole family.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you so much for your fabulous rating and wonderful comments about Rook Cottage. We are so pleased you found the cottage spacious and well equipped with a high quality finish. We and our family love it there. We wanted it to be a home from home, equipped with everything that you would have in your own home. We are pleased you found it in a good location for day trips to the coast and inland. The swimming pool is definitely a bonus. You will be more than welcome back again.

The photos did not do it justice. It was beautiful and great attention to detail. A few cob webs and ants but that was the only reason we scored 8. We will defiantly come back loved our stay.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Hi. Thank you very much for your rating and lovely comments about Rook. Thank you for mentioning the attention to detail. That means a lot. As for the cobwebs, we were unaware of these. Thank you for pointing this out. We have advised our cleaner of this. Ant powder and ant gel were under the sink ready for use. We have also had an ant problem where we live in Bristol, must be the time of year for them. You will be welcome back at Rook.

Lovely well equipped and modern cottage. Facilities for toddlers are excellent, particularly the play room and the cottage was also well stocked with toys. The complimentary welcome basket on arrival was a nice touch, only ask would be for the swimming pool to open at 8am rather than 9am.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you very much for your really lovely comments about Rook Cottage. We are so pleased you found it well equipped and well stocked with toys. As the PH balance etc. is checked every morning by our lovely pool man, the pool cannot be opened before 9am and is open till 8pm every day. We are pleased you liked the complimentary welcome basket. You are welcome back anytime.
