Fabulous cottage. Very well equipped kitchen, plenty of pots, pans etc. Warm and cosy. Superb location - the grandchildren loved building dens in the woods opposite the cottage . It was lovely watching the different varieties of small birds eating the scraps that we put out for them, we also saw squirrels and a stoat :-) We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Great cottage for a family reunion. Especially liked the layout and the sheep at the bottom of the garden. Does need a new vacuum though (I serviced the Dyson but it looked 1st generation and very battered) and the bed in the largest room wasn’t the most comfortable!

My family and I celebrated my 67th birthday at Myton House in early December. It couldn't have been a nicer spot in Lower Wensleydale or a more comfortable 'cottage' for a large group with dogs. We enjoyed walking along the river Ure, visiting Jervaux abbey and seeing the race horses at Middleham. Just across the field was the ancient church of St Oswald. I would strongly recommend Myton House for a family group.

Nice location for Yorkshire Dales, Vales of York and North Yorkshire Moors. Very quiet and peaceful location with dark skies at night. Surrounded by the market towns of Leyburn, Bedale and Masham and close to Middleham. The trip up Wensleydale, taking in Semer Water, is not to be missed. No fuss and left to our own devices for the week. Good facilities for less able people with downstairs en-suite bedroom and level access to the patio at the front of the property. Walks to and along the river at the bottom of the valley. Great base for exploring "Gods Own Country"
