Plenty of outdoor adventures can be had, horse riding from the village, skiing at nearby Lecht and the Cairngorms where fabulous hillwalking and mountain climbing can be enjoyed. Cyclists will love the Glenlivet Mountain Bike centre too. In addition, Landrover safaris or gorge walking at nearby Bridge of Brown will surely get the adrenalin going. Alternatively, bird watching or deer spotting will suit the less adventurous and for interesting shops and eateries, Tomintoul, Ballater, Grantown-on-Spey and Aviemore are all within easy reach. By total contrast, the beautiful Moray coastline is within an hour’s drive.
