Booked last minute so wasn’t sure what to expect but excellent value for money. We were a grown up family group but the house felt big enough that we had our own space. Really nice to have en suite bedrooms. Main bathroom could do with a shower attachment for the bath. Quiet area with good pub.

We went to the mooring house for a reasonably quiet break away with an opportunity to do some walking, and this is what we got. With some lovely local pubs if you don’t fancy cooking, and a lodge with everything you need, it’s a perfect recipe for a lovely break. The owner could not have been any more helpful, even leaving a welcome pack. There are three bedrooms, two of which have super king sized beds, both of these rooms have ensuite.

This house was a wonderful find, a very peaceful setting on the river, with boats passing slowly by while we sat on the decking, enjoying the brilliant Bank Holiday weather. The house is comfortable and well equipped, and the setting idyllic. Doug the owner could not have been more helpful. A great long weekend with friends.
