Throughout your stay, the peaceful rural setting provides changing views, open skies and a wonderful sense of escape, with beautiful countryside waiting just beyond the windows.
Step inside and make your way into the spacious open-plan living area, designed for relaxed days and sociable evenings. Sink into the comfortable seating and warm up beside the wood burner while taking in the lovely rural views beyond. This welcoming space flows naturally into the stylish kitchen, where a central island provides plenty of room for preparing breakfast, pouring drinks or chatting while dinner is cooked. Gather around the dining table to share good food, plan the following day’s adventures and make the most of valuable time together.
When the evening draws to a close, choose from three thoughtfully presented bedrooms. Two inviting king-size rooms offer a restful setting for couples, while the twin bedroom is ideal for children, friends or family members. One bedroom benefits from its own en-suite bathroom with a contemporary walk-in shower, and a separate family bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms, making the house comfortably suited to parties of up to six guests.
Outside, the generous garden offers plenty of space to enjoy the fresh country air. Begin the morning with coffee on the patio while admiring the views, then let younger guests enjoy the large lawn as the adults relax nearby. On warmer evenings, the patio provides a lovely place to dine outside, enjoy a drink and watch the changing colours across the surrounding countryside.
Whether you spend your days walking, sightseeing or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, Moorgate Farm House provides a luxurious and welcoming base. Return from every adventure to the glow of the wood burner, the comfort of the open-plan living space and the peaceful garden, ready to relax and do it all again tomorrow.
Moorgate Farm House is set near Kelbrook and Barnoldswick, where the Lancashire countryside meets the Yorkshire border. Surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful Pennine scenery, the area is ideal for walkers, cyclists and anyone looking to slow down and enjoy the outdoors.
Explore Barnoldswick’s independent shops, cafés and welcoming places to eat, or follow the towpath beside the Leeds and Liverpool Canal for a peaceful waterside walk or cycle ride. Keen walkers can join sections of the Pendle Way, including routes through Barnoldswick and around Kelbrook Moor, while the climb up Pendle Hill rewards visitors with far-reaching views and a landscape rich in local history.
For a glimpse into the area’s industrial heritage, visit Bancroft Mill Engine Museum on one of its steaming days. The market town of Skipton is also within easy reach, offering a bustling high street, canal-side walks and the impressive medieval Skipton Castle. At Bolton Abbey, visitors can discover historic priory ruins and enjoy miles of woodland, riverside and moorland paths across the estate.
Travel a little farther into the Yorkshire Dales National Park for dramatic scenery, traditional villages and memorable days out at natural landmarks such as Malham Cove. Families may also enjoy Thornton Hall Country Park.
