Welsh Country Cottages

An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above..

Located close to Conwy in a small hamlet, this holiday property is in a stunning location, with the Snowdonia Mountains on the doorstep.

This single storey holiday cottage for two is tucked away down a very narrow lane (7ft wide) in the delightfully named Fairy Glen above the hamlet of Capelulo near Conwy. There is a lovely light living area and a peaceful secluded garden in which to relax or dine al fresco. Just inside the Snowdonia National Park, you can walk up into the mountains from the door. Ideal for visiting historic Conwy with its castle, town walls and quay as well as Aberconwy House (NT) and Cadw’s Plas Mawr. The Victorian town of Llandudno has a wide range of shops, two beaches, the famous Great Orme’s Head with the Great Orme Tramway, the UK’s longest cable car, and 4,000 year old copper mines which are well worth a visit, plus you can take in a show at Venue Cymru theatre. The Conwy Valley offers Surf Snowdonia, the world’s first artificial inland surfing lake, with Betws-y-Coed just a little further on, whilst in the other direction is the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, with 125 miles of beaches and rocky coves just waiting to be explored. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Stayed at the beautiful cottage for a week and had an amazing holiday. Waking up every morning to the snowdonian mountains started each day perfectly. Stunning walks and beaches close by which made our holiday extra special. The Fairy Glen Pub a few minutes walk serve delicious food and the staff are very friendly. We will definitely be returning for another holiday.

We had a wonderful stay. The owners are very helpful. A spacious property with plenty of room for my 2 Staffies. Don’t worry about the tight gap to get to the property as I managed to fit my Citroen dispatch van through there!

Nice cottage in a lovely location. Very peaceful and beautiful scenery around. Places to eat in walking distance. Reasonably well equipped comfortable bed! Only downside shower was a little cold and couldn't be turned up due safety reasons and sofa uncomfortable springs poking through and covered with a throw as cushions worn/torn but I'm sure the owners will be replacing soon . But generally a nice cottage

Very nice cottage, well tucked away. Parking a slight issue with the neighbouring cottage having so many cars. A few little extras within the cottage would help. No salt and pepper, nowhere to keep biscuits. Bathroom door needs to be made to close properly. But overall very good. Just make sure you don't have a large vehicle, or you may have trouble getting up the track.
