Excellent property! The off-street parking was so handy in the tiny lane. The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday and having two bathrooms was an added bonus. The cottage was spotless and the extra touches everywhere made it feel so homely. From the cottage, we explored weardale as far as Alston, visited locomotion, the Darlington engine sheds, Beamish and Bishop Auckland.

We love this cottage. It has everything we need and is an excellent base to go walking and exploring. It is perfectly placed to pop to the shops or the cafe or the pub. It’s very dog friendly, small dogs can get under the gate but it’s not a deal breaker, we have small dogs. Of all the cottages we have stayed in this is our favourite hence the return stay. I’m absolutely sure we will stay here again....

We stayed and enjoyed our previous time at Mill Stone Cottage. We found it a perfect location to explore the beautiful countryside by foot or car. We would have no hesitation in returning for another holiday at the cottage.
