Second visit. Ideal location right in the town yet so quiet! Always cleaned to a high standard, and very comfortable. Ideal base to visit relatives in Thirsk, plus the surrounding area.

This is the 3rd time we have stopped at Middle cottage and each time the cottage was clean and homely. The cottage is situated in a great location for the racing and the seaside as well as other local attractions. The Town of Thirsk as everything you want and is on the doorstep.

This was the third time we had stayed at middle cottage and we were on honeymoon. We found the cottage homely and cosy with excellent access to all amenities and it was well equipped with everything you need for a good holiday. Carole and Joe Manchester

Our only problem concerned the fact that we have 2 active and lively (but generally polite and well-behaved) children aged 9 and 7. The floors in the house are very creaky and the doors difficult to close quietly. Normal activity resulted in a complaint from one neighbour who then decided to follow up with the owner who also contacted us. I would not recommend this property to parents with young active children. In every other respect the property lived up to all our expectations and Thirsk is a nice place to visit with plenty to do in the surrounding area.

Excellent cottage.Could not fault it at Had a real home from home feeling, think that was also because certain rooms were very much like ours re layout and decor. Will definitely have a stay there again. The neighbours at no 3 were very friendly.

We had a great holiday at Middle cottage. It was like a home from home. The town was minutes walk from the property and yet it was so peaceful. I would certainly use this property again if I was returning to Thirsk.

Perfect location for looking round the area and local museums. Plenty of places for eating out if wanted. Only comment would be for a grab rail for getting in and out of the bath.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. We are looking into having a grab rail fitted.
