This lovely townhouse on the waterfront is a wonderful base for a family seaside holiday, or to discover Plymouth and the local area.

Overlooking Clovelly Bay Marina at Mount Batten, this superb holiday property is a stylish townhouse on the waterfront, with the superb Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre, and Plymouth Sailing School right on your doorstep. By prior arrangement, boating enthusiasts can even bring their boat along with them and moor it in the marina! The property boasts two balconies, one off the kitchen/dining room on the ground floor, and the second balcony off the living room on the first floor. Both are fabulous spots in which to sit and watch the boats coming and going. The kitchen is very modern and bold, the bedrooms cool and contemporary and the bathrooms well-equipped with the master bedroom en-suite featuring a spa bath. This is a lovely home for a family wanting to enjoy the local facilities. It isn’t just a summer destination but a great base for winter weekends or a spring break.

In Mount Batten there are two waterside pubs and a little beach, and Bovisand Beach with cafe and parking is just a 5-minute drive away. The South West Coastal Path runs along the front of the property, and you can walk to Turnchapel, which is a little historic riverside village, or along the cliff path to Jennicliffe, with its popular café perched on the headland with the most spectacular views across Plymouth Sound to Mount Edgecumbe in Cornwall on the far side of the bay. From Mount Batten you can catch a little water taxi across to Barbican, with its cobbled streets, restaurants, bars and shops. Here you will find the marine aquarium and the historic waterfront area of Plymouth Hoe, with its iconic outdoor swimming pool lido and panoramic views. The peninsula at Mount Batten itself is a historic site. It was formerly an RAF station for sea planes and the base in the 1930s for Aircraftsman Shaw, better known as Lawrence of Arabia. Fantastic holiday home. Clean and well equipped for a large family or friends. Great views of the yachts in the marina from the balconys? We had fantastic weather and made use of the passenger ferry which is a short walk from the house and Plymouth town centre is a short walk from the Barbican the other side of the harbour. There is a small beach which is a short drive away, and a pebble beach across the road. Water sports close by, which didn't use. For any park runners, there is a Parkrun which is a half hour drive away in plymvalley park. Great communication with Bridget the owner, she was very welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely like to return.

Lovely house overlooking harbour. Everything provided including dishwasher, washing machine and drier. Only downside no local shop but huge Morrisons 2miles away. Local pub and restaurant looked good but we didn't try it out. Would definitely recommend the house to others.

The house we stayed in was fantastic. Four stories with a modern kitchen, living room with a great view over the yacht haven and en suite facilities. Very comfortable and clean accommodation and would highly recommend for anyone wishing to stay in Plymouth.. there is a ferry every half hour to the Barbican at only £1.50 per person which saves you driving through the busy city centre and paying for parking.. two good pub/hotels.. the bridge does a very nice breakfast and the Mountbatten hotel is very warm and friendly with reasonably priced food and drink.. we really enjoyed our stay.. the shaw ways is a great place to stay

A superbly modern and well equipped house. Plenty of room for 8. There are TVs but you don't need to watch them! Just look out of the Windows!! It's stunning!!
