Had a lovely time at Mallards, the only thing that was missing for us (well my 2 teenagers) was the lack of wifi at the property, other than that I couldn't fault it and would definitely return in the future.

We had a lovely stay here. The house was very clean and in a great location. The housekeeper is lovely. The only negative was that the double bed wasn't very comfortable. Despite this we had a great time so thank you!

This was our third year at Mallards. A good Holiday Home in a very quite location. Easy access to the North Norfolk coast. Within walking distance to the amenities .The cottage is only part heated but the lounge soon warms up when Gas Fire is on. Audrey who lives next door is treasure who will all your problems. We hope to be here again next January.

This is a modern terrace house. It has a large Co-op 2 minutes away. It is comfortable and clean thanks to the lovely caretaker Audrey who actually is the making of this rental and had it not been for her my score would be lower. She is so helpful and keeps the visitors happy. We found it lacking in character being modern and sort of unloved except by Audrey. It looks scruffy from the outside (filthy garage door etc) but I believe new windows are being put in at the front. The electric and gas were all in so that was very helpful. The TV was very small and we had a job to watch it but understand a new one is in the pipeline and can understand why it was so small. Comfortable chairs and settee. It was noticed that both triple light fittings only had one light each which worked that is 2 lights out of 6, and it is understandable that Audrey cannot always get people to change the bulbs but it did look as though they had been like that for some time. there is no fan outlet in the kitchen and so it gets steamy and smelly. The upstairs bedrooms have no double glazing or heating and as it was January they were draughty. . Although I am sure if we had asked Audrey she would have come up with a heater she works so hard as caretaker we did not want to bother her again. We had already bothered her enough we felt. Terribly creaky beds. Especially the double bed. We did tell Audrey. They creak every time you turn over. Sorry, we would not rent this property again. Also, we did not realise towels were not provided (our fault it is in the Contract) but it is the first time this has ever happened to us and we have rented many holiday cottages.

Response on behalf of the owner; I understand from my caretaker that you found difficulty in parking your auto home in Norfolk on your trips out as everywhere was busy - if one chooses to visit Norfolk over a bank holiday (New Year) this is only to be expected, Perhaps this has coloured your view on the holiday? We are busy all year round with many returning guests who enjoy staying in our much loved house - incidentally the garage is not included in the property as it is not ours but we do include the driveway for the convenience of our guests. If you had accessed the internet site you would have been made aware that the house is of a contemporary design and that it was furnished accordingly with Parker Knoll and Ercol. furniture. It is also end of terrace and not terraced as you suggested. Sadly we cannot please everybody all the time but we seem to manage this 99.9% of the time, we note that you will not be returning so perhaps you will choose a character property next time you venture away.
