The house is in a good location, easy access to the village and good for dog walks along the edge of the lake. Excellent base for hill walking and trying the many activities on offer in North Wales.

We enjoyed our stay. The house is a no frills, nice place to lay your head at night and prepare for the the day ahead. Plenty of shops 2 minute walk away and the lake 5 mins. Will definitely stay again. I spoke to the owner about WiFi and she is looking into it, this would be beneficial for booking days out while you are there. Shawn

We all enjoyed the cottage and Bala. Hose pipe and secure bike storage would hav been helpful for use and I'm sure a selling point for others as this was a brilliant place to stay for mountain bikers!

The cottage was pretty nice but there wasn't proper cleaning in the house. The location was very good. However, the problem is that if you are willing to take your pet, remember that you' re only allowed a small dog, it's not allowed upstairs or on the furniture and you can't leave your pet alone in the property. NOTE THAT THERE'S EXTRA CHARGE FOR GAS AND ELECTRICITY, we only found this out when we arrived at the property, no one alerted us about this at first. The holiday itself was very good because of all the attractions and fun there is.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. Regarding pets, it does state in the details prior to booking we only accept a small dog. Dog friendly accommodation has to strike a happy medium, as we cater for non-dog owners too. The few rules you mention are standard for all of Wyndham's properties. Left alone in an unfamiliar property, a lot of dogs become very stressed, which can lead them to cause damage or become noisy. We hope that guests bring their dogs because they cannot bear to be parted. With many doggy friendly activities and pubs in the area, there is really no need to leave your best friend behind. With regards to the fuel charges, again these are advertised within the description so guests should be fully aware of them prior to booking. Sadly upon departure we found the property had been left in an unacceptable condition, which therefore required extra cleaning.
