Comfortable well equipped cottage. Nice little village with two good pubs and excellent little shop. Just a shame dogs aren't allowed

Whilst we enjoyed our holiday by visiting the local area it has to be said that the bungalow itself is a bit run down and needs some attention from the owners. The plus points: It's a lovely area to visit with lots to see and do. The bungalow is spacious and we found it warm enough. The negative points: It wasn't clean when we arrived - whoever is being employed to clean it isn't doing the job properly. We found evidence of grubby fingerprints on surfaces along with a generally unkempt look. The bathroom has a blind that looks as though it should been replaced months ago. One of the bedrooms has a skylight that is broken. What is surprising is that there are many mentions in the visitors book that refer to some of these faults which obviously haven't been acted on.

Had everything we needed for our holiday, and more. Outside was a bit scruffy, perhaps due to weather. Deep step into main bedroom (which we were warned about in advance) is not very easy for someone with restricted mobility - parhaps a half-step, and a grab-handle would improve it. Beadnell itself did not offer much, and writer was very disappointed by dinner in the village's one pub (see review on Trip Advisor). Seahouse, on the other hand, was a fine alternative. Pity, too, about parking and access to the harbour - this was not very clear and not found until the last evening. Access from the car park, over the dunes, would not have been easy for me. All that said, we had a great stay and would come again!

Great little cottage to stay... we were a family of 5 and very comfortable... the patio was a nice touch. Great base to venture out to see the sights. We walked to the beach - beach at beadnell a few minutes drive up the road was just stunning! Seahouses is a gorgeous wee village lots of lovely places to eat and shops to explore.... the 2p machines at the amusement arcade was a win win with the kids! Would definitely go back to Northumberland again and would stay in beadnell!
