We had a great time staying in Lochview Cottage. For the uninitiated, the drive in from the main road could be an issue if you are not used to driving along single track roads albeit with passing places. Most drivers are pretty good although as in life you come across idiots who seem to have no idea as to how to reverse their car into a passing space when need be. The cottage itself is fitted out to a high standard and has basically everything you need for your stay. The local shop a few miles down the road is limited in what it sells, understandable considering the low number of full times residents in the area. Your best bet is a stop on the way north in Broadford or Portree where there are larger Co-op Supermarkets. If you are travelling from Armadale to Glendale in the early evening as we did, there is a a hot food van on the left hand side of the road in Struan which sells great fish and chips cooked to order. It was a great place to stop and it saved cooking upon arrival after a long drive.
