We spent the week over Christmas in this home-from-home cottage, which was the perfect setting for a relaxing winter break. It has pretty much every thing you would need for a family home over Christmas: a decent sized living area, all the kitchen utensils you'd ever need, a cracking view and the icing on the cake was the effort the owner had gone to with the Christmas decorations which made the place feel very welcoming. There are plenty of walking trails around the area but I must admit it was far more appealing staying in the cottage, turning on the fire and watching a series of good films!

A very well equipped house with an excellent broadband connection (30Mb/s). The sort of place people would stay while doing outdoor activities so could do with somewhere to put muddy boots and coats after a day out. The entrance hall has quite plush carpets, so isn't suitable, which leaves only the second entrance via the kitchen, but there's nowhere really to leave anything that isn't in the way.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. There is space to take boots off outside by the kitchen back door within the undercover area, and hang coats in the garage where there is ample room to hang coats or store boots; there is a connecting door into the house from there. We hope you have enjoyed your stay.

We stayed here 2 years ago so this was a return visit, that says it all. It rained every day except one but we still enjoyed the Holiday. Make sure you visit The Falls of Dochart at Killin ,just up the road, after heavy rain as we experienced they are spectacular.

Lochside View is in a superb location on a small quiet residential estate overlooking Loch Earn. The views of the Loch from the front decking and living room are very picturesque and what makes the property extra special. As well as the seating areas in front of the house there is a small garden which is split into 3 levels as it slopes (steeply) down. The whole property is very private and secluded being surrounded by hedging and shrubs. Inside it is very well equipped and extremely comfortable, both in the living areas and bedrooms which are also very spacious. The dining room and kitchen are quite modestly sized and would be a squeeze for more than 4 people. The owners are very friendly and helpful and keen to provide anything you need. The village of Loch Earn is very small with few facilities except for the 2 small hotels, which are open to non-residents, and a very small shop. The Loch itself is very beautiful and has lots of water sports facilities and is ideal for outdoor pursuits. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We had an amazing week again. Perfect for water sports, walking, whether that`s around the Loch or in the hills. Plenty of places to visit within an hours drive. Or, if you just want to relax and take in the scenery you couldn`t find any where better. Very comfortable cottage that caters for everyone`s needs with home from home comforts, just more luxurious
