Warm. cosy but simply didn't suit our needs. A fine place for a relaxing holiday but not for us again.

A very enjoyable week spent in a clean, comfortable cottage which is well equipped. There is no tumble dryer however there is a rotary clothes line and plenty of wind. The local amenities are limited but there is a Spar store and garage with small shop which although expensive have most basic things. The local beaches are outstanding with very few people on them and at times we had the beach to ourselves. Be prepared for the weather which changes quickly (waterproofs a must) but in general was good. As for things to do a visit to Smoo cave at Durness was worth it as was a boat trip to Cape Wrath (waterproofs again an essential). The boat trip was weather dependant with us having to wait a couple of days for the weather to be good enough so I would recommend booking early in your stay. Overall the best recommendation is that we would definitely return.

Lovely relaxing break. Stunning views. House very comfortable and clean. A pity that all dog owners can’t clean up behind their pets though!!!! Would recommend booking this cottage.

A wonderful location with our own private view of the loch. I don't think we will ever find a location like this again. Brilliant sunrises, the way the light changes on the water and rocks was amazing and all of this was viewed from the sofa in the living room thanks to the french doors.

We had a great holiday in this superbly positioned cottage and the view from the lounge window is simply stunning. The beaches and scenery at Oldshoremore and Sandwood bay are absolutely fantastic and Dougal our dog just loved them. A great day out is a drive to Durness and walking round Balnakeil Bay it’s just breathtaking. Although not a lot of choice when it comes to Restaraunt’s around Kinlochbervie if you like seafood we recommend the Shorehouse Restaraunt at Tarbet about a 30 minute drive from the cottage.
