First off, The Load Pot is lovely, beautifully equipped, well maintained and in a great location over looking Ullswater. Peaceful and quiet with a well stocked kitchen, comfy bed and everything you need. Our holiday, however, was spoilt by building work next door which we were not told about. The work included demolishing internal walls - both next to and below the bedroom. As it was unanounced, it shattered the peace, waking us up and spoilt plans. It would not have been hard nor unreasonable to have been told of the building works beforehand, or for the builders to have started a bit later. However, my reservation for recommending to anyone is not about the building work, which are probably completed now, but the ease and clarity with which I could hear the builders' conversations. Sometimes it was as though they were in the bedroom rather than next door. And if I could hear them, then next door would also hear you. If you are planning on going, check that adequate sound proofing has been added.

Lovely property, spotlessly clean. Nice and warm for a Winter’s break with fabulous views and local pub serving food a short walk away.

Loadpot promised stunning views and they were! The cottage was in a superb position, it was light and airy and had everything you could possibly need. We loved everything about it and don't hesitate to recommend it.

Great place, the view was breathtaking. So peaceful, no traffic noises just sheep. Very clean and comfortable. Was impressed with the John Lewis pillows, very comfy sleep. The only negatives were that we are both tall so had to stoop in the bedrooms and did bump our head when going down the stairs at night. Also if you, like us tend to go to the loo in the night you have to go downstairs. That said I’d suffer the occasional bump on the head for that view.

Loadpot is a lovely cottage in a fantastic location with the best views in the Lake District. It is very quiet and peaceful but easy access to Pooley Bridge and Glenridding. We climbed fells, hired rowing boats and canoes and went horse riding. Had a lovely meal at the Brakenrigg Hotel which is walking distance from Loadpot.
