In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

Ideal for couples or a small family and the dog, this single storey property is an action packed or relaxing holiday.

Featuring a double size Jacuzzi bath for two, this ground floor holiday apartment (the owner lives above), is in the historic former slate capital of Wales, Blaenau Ffestiniog. It is within earshot of the little steam engines on the Ffestiniog Railway as they twist and turn on the spectacular journey down to the coast at Porthmadog. Fast becoming an adrenaline junkie’s paradise, Blaenau Ffestinog offers fabulous activities such as Bounce Below where you can bounce on trampoline nets deep underground in an old slate cavern the size of St Paul’s Cathedral, Zipworld Titan where you can try out Europe’s largest zip wire zone, and the Stiniog Downhill Bike Trails – bring your own mountain bike! Surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park, there are some lovely walks from the door, with pretty Betws-y-Coed and Swallow Falls, and the peaceful Llyn Peninsula, both a short car journey away. Shop, pub and restaurant 1/4 mile.

One step to entrance. All on ground floor: Living room with patio doors/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 bunk. Bathroom with shower over Jacuzzi bath and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot on request. 40" Satellite TV. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi. Small sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (1 car). Cycle store. No smoking.

Disappointing stay. Looks better on the pictures. Was not clean. Spent the first evening cleaning the work surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom. Musty smell in bedroom. Second bedroom small and dark and not pleasant to stay in. Owners lovely and helpful. As a result, we didn't like to complain and we made the best of it. Cycle store a bit of a death trap! The log pile collapsed and I couldn't get through the door at one point! Well located for Snowdonia and all attractions.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments. We were a little disappointed you didn’t mention any issues regarding cleanliness during your stay as we would have asked the cleaner to visit the property and take immediate action where necessary. The smell in the bedroom was a rug which has now been removed and I have also changed the lamp to a brighter one. Regarding the cycle store, we have now made the logs secure so there isn’t a problem for future guest using this, we hope the issues didn’t spoil your holiday.

Lovely place to stay and so close to Snowdon! We enjoyed a glass of wine outside as the weather was so nice - and the jacuzzi bath was amazing!!

Lovely friendly owners - very happy to help. Only criticism would be that the bunk bed is very squeaky! Every time you move in top bunk everyone knew about it! Maybe some WD40?!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. We have now replaced the bunk bed.

Lovely compact and hidden private apartment. Very clean and comes with everything needed for a self catering stay. Well furnished. 2nd bedroom little small with noisy bunk beds :-) Overall great location for discovering the local areas and a great place to come back to and relax after all the fresh mountain air. Would definitely go back.
