Lovely, cozy & well equipped cottage. Eve the owner was really friendly & chatty. Ignore the weird comments on here about it being cold in the cottage, these people simply have no idea how to use a log burner. Used correctly you'll probably have to open the front door it gets that warm. If you are unsure as to how to use the burner, ASK. Don't just leave a negative review because of your inability to ask. Eve is lovely & would bend over backwards to help out. This was one of the best cottages we've stayed in.

friendly and pleasant owner, nice and cozy with fire, but felt damp inside and bed really uncomfortable, bad nights sleep

Really enjoyed our stay here - it suited us really well as Eve gave us all the information we needed up front, and left us to our own devices so we could enjoy our break. She was friendly, and also advised on nice local places to visit during our stay. My wife was also fond of the horses and dogs on the site - although for anyone not comfortable around animals, they are kept well away from the cottage and contact with them could be completely avoided, if desired. We love animals though, so this wasn't a problem! The location is very rural (which again, was exactly what we were looking for) and there is a local convenience store, but there isn't much in the way of local amenities, if that's what you are looking for. We will definitely keep Little Whiteleigh in mind if we ever do travel there again!
