Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Little Lismoy benefits from glorious sea views and provides the perfect base to explore this beautiful island.

This well presented, tastefully furnished, terraced holiday home has delightful sea views and faces directly on to one of the best beaches on the island. The house is also within a 2-minute walk from all the local shops, pubs and restaurants that Sandown has to offer. Sandown, with its amusement pier, Dinosaur Isle, Isle of Wight Zoo and pitch and putt, is an ideal location for a family holiday, yet is also fantastic for golfers and walking enthusiasts, with the golf course and Yaverland and Culver Cliff being close by. To explore and enjoy the stunning scenery that the rest of the island has to offer, you can take an open top bus tour which stops regularly at various collection points. Also worth a visit are The Needles, with a chair lift and boat rides, the lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay, Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK, and the Ventnor Botanical Gardens. Historical places to visit include Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House and Gardens, and Calbourne Water Mill. Beach directly in front of property. Shop 300 yards, pub 25 yards and restaurant 100 yards.

This is a really nicely situated cottage but was let down by being cold and a tad cramped in the main bedroom. The back yard was also in fenced and unsuitable for dogs or children unless both were on leads/ harnesses

I really can't rate this cottage highly enough. We loved it. The dogs loved it. The beach is on the doorstep. Will definitely be returning.

The only thing missing equipment wise is a dishwasher (but no room I appreciate) and some plastic cups/bowls etc for children. There is no washing line, but when I mentioned this to the owner, he turned up at the door with a clothes airer which I was then able to use outside, which was much appreciated. The cottage is very clean and the furniture in the front vestibule is very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting here watching the sea right across the road. The children loved the beach a minute walk away which is a lovely safe beach with gorgeous sand for making sandcastles. The play area is near by, so perfect all round! There is no dining room table, but there is a folded one you could set up in the living room if you wanted to. We made do with the breakfast bar in the kitchen. The front area has large stones which makes it impractical for sitting out at. I would recommend that this is paved so that the picnic table can be used more easily. A comfortable, clean cottage in a wonderful location.

Would like to suggest more cooking equipment in the kitchen especially some larger saucepans. Thanks
