We spent a lovely 4 nights at Linnets. Everything was exceptionally clean & the cottage is very well equipped & a welcome pack was left which is a lovely touch. The only negative was that the bed is a little small as it’s a standard double, but it’s very comfortable. Overall a lovely stay & a great village & area to explore.

This was the perfect cottage for a week's stay over the Christmas Holiday. Tucked away in Beaminster, yet minutes from local shops, pub, Church - and only a few minutes drive from Bridport if you need supermarkets and a wider range of shops - also well placed to visit the Jurassic coast, north and west Dorset, Somerset or Devon. This is a cozy cottage, fairly new, and well equipped. The ground floor is open plan, though there there is some separation between kitchen / dining room and the seating area. The sleeping quarters are downstairs together with the bathroom. The first thing that struck me on arrival was just how clean and well prepared the cottage was - immaculate and the welcome pack is a nice touch ( I should point out the cottage was prepared at very short notice, so even more welcome to find it perfectly clean and tidy). There is onsite car parking. One enters via a porch, on into the seating area. Very comfy two seater sofa, good sized flat screen TV ( dvd), sat box , hi to. Plenty of games, selection of dvds and books .Good lighting, and good provision of floor standing and table lamps. Two additional chairs. Stairs down to bedroom etc. On into the seating area good sized dining table and chairs, again good lighting. The kitchen is superbly equipped, toaster, hob, big fan oven, kettle ,water filter, washer dryer, fridge/ freezer. Appliances are new, good quality and spotless. Plenty of workspace to prepare meals, instant hot water. Lots of storage space, very comprehensive provision of kitchen utensils. Easily prepare, cook and serve a three course meal for four. Folder with general information, details how to work appliances, heating, shower and local amenities and attractions. Carbon monoxide detector, smoke/ fire alarm. Again, spotless. Downstairs to a fair sized bedroom, with a comfy warm double bed, bedside tables and lights, and a good sized dressing table. Chest of drawers, and a understands heated walk in cupboard with hanging rack, sturdy ironing board, good steam iron, mop/ bucket and vacuum cleaner. The bed wàs very comfy, and warm, and being carpeted rather than bare boards, a nice sensation with the clean warm carpet underfoot. Well lit. The bathroom is also well sized, with a decent bath, with built in shower over, lashings of hot water. Heated towel rail, hand basin and WC. The cottage was centrally heated, there was no need to change the pre set timings and a convenient wall mounted thermostat. Even on the coldest night there it as warm and comfy at all times, easy to open windows. The neighbours suggested one might be disturbed by the rooms in the morning - barely heard them at all.. did hear the odd seagull. It does have a cosy outside patio which would be very handy in the summer. The cottage is smallish and compact, but for one or two people staying that gives it a cosy warm intimacy that really makes it feel so relaxing and welcoming. It so well presented, comfy seating, quiet - you do need your own internet connection , I use a mobile 4g modem as there is no WiFi in the cottage. The one thing I missed was a steel for sharpening the cooks knives - that small point is the only thing I would change, always eager to have sharper chopping knives. The pictures on the booking site give a good idea of what you will find, and I suspect other reviews will as I am about to heartily recommend this as an ideal clean comfy cosy holiday cottage. Big thank you to the owners and the caretakers.

Very pretty cottage with everything you could need for your stay. Very comfy bed, tv/DVD, table and chairs, all kitchen equipment, nice bathroom. Only small negative was I found it very difficult to get the key out of the key box. Not owners fault but also a skip next to the cottage and was noisy one morning and left dust on my car.

This is a lovely cottage, which was ideally based for the places that we wanted to visit. It is clean, comfortable and very well equipped. There was a welcome pack of milk, scones cream and jam. Although the lack of internet, to research places of interest was a bit of a downer. However, I would recommend this cottage.

Pleasant cottage in a really good location to explore W Dorset, which is stunning . However, the cottage was a bit sterile. Everything adequate, but no real feeling of comfort. The bedroom and bathroom are downstairs and rather cold and damp feeling

Everything we needed was provided. Location peaceful, but within easy walking distance of Beaminster town centre. Local shops reasonable, but better choice in Bridport, only a short drive away. Plenty to see & do within short distances. A most enjoyable holiday, especially with the Summer weather.
