Lane End Cottage is a great base to explore the Yorkshire coastal towns with its shops, restaurants and beautiful beach - there’s something for everyone.

Living area: With wood burner, 50" Freeview Smart TV and wooden floor.
Kitchen/dining area area: Shaker-style with electric oven, electric hob, microwave and fridge/freezer.
Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed, TV, vaulted ceiling and en-suite with shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2: With zip and link twin beds (can be super kingsize on request), TV and vaulted ceiling.
Bathroom: With slipper bath, shower cubicle, toilet, heated towel rail and Karndean floor.
Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack and doggy extras. Use of washing machine (available on request).
Enclosed courtyard with lawned area, patio and garden furniture. 1 acre landscaped grounds with garden furniture (shared). 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.
This beautiful detached barn conversion is tucked away in the courtyard of Lane End Farm. Dating back to the 1800’s, Lane End Cottage has been renovated in 2019 to a good standard. Set within a rural smallholding, be charmed by the wildlife passing by your window, with ducks and chickens being frequent visitors and sheep in the field nearby. There are two outside seating areas, a small courtyard outside the barn, providing a great spot to sit with a coffee and appreciate the beautiful morning sunrise, with a further point which is shared with the owners and accessed across the farmyard to sit and take in the countryside views of the valley beyond.
The open plan living and kitchen area is a great social space to chill out with your family and friends, with comfortable furnishings and a Smart TV. The stylish kitchen, with smart dark grey shaker style units and well-stocked with all the utensils and equipment you’ll need to rustle up a romantic meal or brunch. Romantics will love the spacious master bedroom with vaulted ceiling and kingsize bed, an en-suite is at hand with a double shower cubicle. The second bedroom has zip and link twin beds which can be converted to super kingsize bed. A separate bathroom is equipped for a relaxing soak with slipper-style bath. With an overhead Velux window, take advantage of the dark skies at night and lie back and watch the stars.
The cottage is approximately a mile from the coastal town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, with some great local amenities including restaurants, pubs and some micro-breweries. The town is rapidly gaining a reputation as a ‘foodie destination’. The monthly food festival is a must visit on any holiday itinerary. Saltburn-by-the-Sea also boasts a great beach to enjoy, with an historic cliff lift and long pier from which to admire the views.
Getting out and about, there’s an abundance of things to do. With the wonderful scenery of the North York Moors National Park to explore, why not enjoy a day on the North York Moors Railway? With miles of coastal and moorland footpaths, this part of rural North Yorkshire is a walkers and bird watchers paradise.
Upleatham makes a great base from which to set out and explore, with the coastal resorts of Saltburn, Staithes and Whitby a short drive away. The ancient market town of Guisborough is 3 miles, amongst its attractions, the ancient priory is worth a visit, providing a fabulous venue for a variety of events throughout the year. Saltburn Golf Club is open to non-members and is approximately 500 yards away. With Errington Woods opposite the cottage providing a popular location for mountain bikers. Beach 2 miles. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub ½ mile.
