Very much enjoyed our stay in Lake House Cottage. Owners Helen & David very friendly and helpful together with their friendly dog Toby. Finchingfield is a lovely village with good facilities including good pubs and an Italian restaurant.

Charming cottage, lovely owners willing to please leaving a kind welcome pack of essentials. Very clean throughout, would definitely recommend.

This is a great place to get away from it all, but it just needs a few tweaks to improve the accommodation. The lighting in the main living area needs to be reviewed, either by adding a standard lamp or wall lighting. A clock some where would also help. The lake area will a great place to go once the fishing is up and running. It can get a bit noisy at certain times of the day with next door's chickens and dogs, which we know is nothing that cottage owners can control. Overall we did enjoy our time at the cottage, and would have liked to have explored the locale more, but we did not find the OS map until we just before we left.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: Have installed brighter bulbs. There are fish in the lake some carp and lots of roach and perch.
