Knowle Lodge is nestled on the southern slopes of the Weald, close to Haywards Heath, on the edge of one of the prettiest villages in Sussex, Cuckfield, which dates back to the 13th century and lies between the beautiful South Downs and Ashdown Forest. It was here that the first known fossil of the dinosaur Iguanodon was discovered and the interesting museum, which is located in Queen’s Hall, can give further information. The Studio (ref UKC1599) and Petit Knowle (ref UKC2003) make an excellent base from which to discover the local gardens including Borde Hill, Nymans, Wakehurst Place and Sheffield Park and Gardens. Go wine tasting and experience the world-class wines that Sussex produces at Ridgeview Estate, Bluebell Vineyard and Wiston Estate. Step back in time with a trip on the Bluebell steam railway, take a picnic and enjoy the opera at Glyndebourne, visit an antiques fair at Ardingly, or try your luck with the horses at Hickstead. After a busy day, Ockenden Manor Spa is a beautiful Elizabethan manor house where you can enjoy a relaxing evening. Gatwick airport is just 20 minutes drive away and there are good train connections to London from Haywards Heath, 3 miles away. Beach 16 miles. Shop 400 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 4 guests.

Petit Knowle is lovely, I only gave it 7 for comfort because the bed was high, and I am not very tall and disabled, I struggled to get on it, and the chairs were quite low, and I struggled to get up from them, but if you are reasonably fit it is lovely.

Over all a very warm welcoming and cozy little cottage built out of a former big garage. On site parking as well as the near pub and shopping amenities were great. Brighton within 20 mins reacheble, London by train in about 45 mins. The owner was very welcoming and helpful in every point we wished. Could not find any thing that was not nice at all.

Caroline was a great host very nice and friendly. The cottage was clean and cosy and has everything you'll need. My wife and I stayed for a week. Pub's are near by. We would stay there again.

V pleasant little studio with decent equipment in kitchen. Comfy bed and linens. Sunny and pleasant to sit outside, although not super private as overlooks garden to another couple of homes. Saw a deer in the garden while having breakfast outside! Would be V snug for 2 adults to sit around inside for any length of time but I stayed solo and it was fine. Seats a bit low for anyone with mobility issues. Walking distance to lovely village and nearest pub Rose and Crown about 50m away is terrific.
