Lovely cottage. Clean and well laid out. Owners on site but not obtrusive. Comfy beds. Hot water in bathroom needs sorting (slow flow needed from hot tap in order to fill bath); door hinges need a bit of WD40 and no basket of logs on arrival as stated (fire also still had ash in but no real hardship). Dark sky on the doorstep (photography wise). Needs a glass jug and bowl but other than that, kitchen well equipped and a good amount of crockery and cutlery. Ample off road parking. Outdoor space not suitable for sighthounds due to low stone wall but not an issue (very small dog friendly though). Bellingham is nearby for anything you need food shop wise. Lovely gist shop, bakery, butchers and local store. Would stay again.

Great location, great stay, everything you would expect to have a comfy stay with peace and quiet and a great base location. My only minor gripe, and it’s nothing that could be changed was the smell of the heating boiler of heating oil which at times smelt strong, like a warm engine, but I got used to it and didn’t detract from the location and accommodation.

Lovely cottage, approx 7 miles from kelder water and forest, so went walking there every day with our dog. Please note that some of the local pubs aren't open at lunchtime if your looking to eat out, not sure if that's due to time of year we went mid to late September or if that's all year round. If your taking a small dog check that they can't escape through the garden gate, we have a small jack russell and he was able to get through the gap between gate and hinges, this was solved by putting a large plant pot there but this had to be moved everytime we used the gate. Beautiful location and views from cottage. Would we go again - yes please
