Set in the peace and quiet of the Somerset countryside, Lakeview Holiday Cottages is a collection of contemporary homes from home designed with relaxation in mind. Within an easy drive from sandy beaches for those bucket and spade days, Lakeview Holiday Cottages is home to two and three bedroom properties. Each one has an impressive décor and the kind of features that make you want to spend as much time as possible catching up close to home, from kingsize beds, Juliet balconies and lake views.

With Somerset’s gentle canals to one side and a private fishing lake to the other, we can’t really think of a more idyllic setting for some time out with your favourite people. Close to the little village of Huntworth near the Somerset Levels, our Lakeview cottages and lodges are perfect for those of you keen to explore the area on foot, and for those days when you’re happy not to venture far from home you’ll find the communal gardens make just the space to unwind in the sun.

Kingfisher Cottage is set on the tranquil Lakeview resort in Somerset, and there’s a bright, spacious feel to this contemporary cottage that means it’s perfect for that break as a family you’ve been meaning to enjoy. The spacious design of the rooms downstairs means you can spend time unwinding as a group yet still enjoy your own space, and when you feel like enjoying the fresh air for a moment or two you can step straight from the living area and on to your patio… bliss.

Evenings are all about long family meals around the dining table, and when it’s time to switch on the electric flame-effect fire you can curl up with a DVD and dream of the next day’s adventures. Speaking of dreaming, the bedrooms are impressive too. The master bedroom’s home to a kingsize bed that you won’t want to leave behind, and there’s even a Juliet balcony so you can snatch a few moments of peace and quiet after a busy day spending time as a family.

The communal gardens make it easy for the whole family to enjoy the peaceful setting of the cottage on the Lakeview resort, and if you feel like exploring the countryside you’ll find a selection of walks and trails to choose from.

We had a very enjoyable week’s stay here. Spacious three bedroom property with large master bedroom, plenty of storage & comfy king size bed. Other bedrooms smaller but as comfortable. Large lounge with stereo/radio & freeview tv and two sofas. WiFi can be very slow. Kitchen is large although would benefit from a dishwasher but otherwise well equipped. Communal space at rear of the property which overlooks the beautiful lakeside but privacy can be an issue & we had to close our patio doors as neighbours smoked. Handy location just off M5 on a remote lakeside estate, although nearest shops are via motorway services or in Bridgewater, four miles away. Overall we would definitely stay here again, Cheryl very helpful & prompt when queries raised.
