We had a great time at the cottage. It’s well equipped, clean and nicely decorated, and in a terrific location. The hot tub is a great feature and we enjoyed hours in it even in freezing temperatures. Our only suggestions are: - for such a baby-friendly property (high chair and cot supplied) it really needs a stair gate option. We had to use a an armchair which was far from ideal - there isn’t much glassware. A few wine glasses, some plastic, and only one tumbler - some utensils and crockery weren’t very well cleaned so we had to re-clean them for use Otherwise we had a great stay and would definitely return.

Excellent accomodation, only negative is Towels were not provided as described, nor was tea, milk or coffee as described in booking. Not a problem if the local convenience store was stocked with such basics! Saying this im sure if i approached the more than friendly owner with the problem ref the towels it would have been sorted just as the wifi was by the owners son in minutes. Thankyou

We stayed in Kielder Cottage for three nights in September and it was just lovely! There was four adults, one toddler and two dogs in our party and there was plenty room for all of us. The cottage is really cozy and comfy, with a quirky layout and modern decor. The kitchen has everything you need too, a real home from home. It is very remote! right in the woods and lovely and quiet. Kielder village and castle are about a 15/20 min walk away through the woods, including a pub and a local shop. There is loads to do around Kielder too, and even when the weather is bad, which it was on one of our days, its really nice just to stay cozy inside the cottage - the hot tub is of course a great bonus too even on chilly nights. My only bit of constructive feedback (I hope!) would be that the bathrooms could do with a bit of updating - there are two but only one has a shower, the other a bath. But for our party of two adult couples, two showers would of been good. I would definitely recommend the cottage however, and would stay again happily :) Thank you!

The owners were very friendly and helpful and the cottage was clean and well equipped. It is convenient for Kielder Castle, the bike shop and the Angler’s Arms. We had a good time and enjoyed the hot tub.

Family get together for my 65th birthday. We all had a great time, cottage was great and we walked our legs off. Anglers Arms was just down the road as was Kielder Castle, the added bonus was being able to enjoy the bike event. Owner was always available and was very helpful. Hot tub was great, everyone enjoyed it.

A lovely little cottage in a peaceful location. Friendly and helpful owner - accompanied by two lovely welcoming Labradors. We would happily stay here again and will be recommending it to friends.

We loved it here. The hot tub was perfect especially during the dark frosty skies! Thank you.

Loved it! Beautiful, quirky cottage (bedrooms downstairs, living room / kitchen upstairs). The cottage was clean, warm, well equipped with some lovely touches - I especially enjoyed the LP player. The hot tub was great. The owners are lovely and very accommodating. The location is ideal for stargazing, walking, biking and for getting a bit of peace and quiet. I went off-season and so activities/amenities within walk distance were a little limited, but the Anglers Arms is 12 minutes walk away and does great food and sells real ale. The castle is quaint and has a nice bright cafe, there's a bike hire place very close to the castle too. All in all, I loved it and will not hesitate to book again.
