Swallows View is situated in an elevated position in the town of Matlock, and offers wonderful accommodation for four people in two bedrooms, one benefiting from a en-suite bathroom. The open plan living, kitchen and dining area is a great place to chill out with friends and relax over a glass of wine or two! This third floor apartment occupies an exceptional, south-facing position with breathtaking views towards historic Riber Castle, and overlooking the town of Matlock and the Derwent Valley, situated on the edge of the Peak District in the Derbyshire Dales.

The popular Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, have been attracting visitors to the area since the spa was developed in the late 17th century. Set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent, the Matlocks offer a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a host of attractions including Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham – a great place for all the family with its show caves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze.

South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, whilst a short drive away is the National Tramway Museum at Crich. Only 8 miles away is the market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Park, and Haddon Hall. The famous spa town of Buxton is also worth a visit. Shop and restaurant ¼ mile, pub 200 yards.
Bird Nest (UK4124), Swallow View (UK4125) and Skylark View (UK4128) can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 guests.
