Seaside location, magnificent views

This traditional detached farmhouse enjoys the most convenient location, as it is just a stone’s throw away from historic Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle. The drive to the farm offers outstanding views across the harbour to the castle, and the journey right along the fore shore of the Menai Straits is just breathtaking.
Helen Cottage is nestled besides the owner’s small and exclusive caravan park, on a 110-acre working farm, where visitors are welcome to explore and watch the calves being fed. It provides the perfect holiday base for golfers and sailors, as there is an 18-hole golf course adjacent to the farm and a boat launch nearby. Caernarfon is also the starting point for the Welsh Highland railway, with wonderful train journeys into the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. Caernarfon also offers a leisure centre with indoor swimming and tennis facilities, along with a fine selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The national water sports centre is 2 miles, horse riding is available just 4 miles away and the beaches at Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula are just 10 miles away. Beach 350 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

located right on the menai straits, the cottage is lovely, enclosed garden great for our dogs and cottage itself comfortable, well equipped (esp. kitchen) and well placed for exploring. unfortunately for our stay the footbridge to Caernarfon was broken so the 15 mins easy walk to centre for bite to eat not viable (long walk around the inlet along very narrow road not great with dogs) but plenty of waterside walking heading left or a quick drive to centre, or bangor etc. easy run thanks to good road connections in north wales enjoyed beautiful sun rises and sets over the water on a nice relaxing week.

Comfortable cottage, with friendly owners, on a lovely peaceful and clean site. Comes with a private garden with patio furniture to enjoy the views. Location is great, with many stunning beaches, villages, market towns and forests within a short travelling distance. I’d recommend a visit

Grace was an excellent host. Accommodation was in very good order and we felt very comfortable. Ceiling are not too low to be a problem (my son was 6'4"). A nice quiet and well maintained site with easy access to the local beach and Caernarfon, but beware the windy and narrow local roads on the way - we soon got used to them! A great location and a great holiday.
