Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: This property has a natural water supply. There is a stream, rivers and sloping banks in the grounds.
With stunning loch views and surrounded by spectacular mountains, Invernoe Cottage is a lovely, well-furnished, detached, single-storey cottage set within a 5000-acre estate and working sheep farm. Located on the eastern side of Loch Etive, and reached by a 2 mile rough track, it is an ideal base for those looking to relax and get away from the stresses of everyday life.
Wildlife is in abundance with red deer, seals, otters and a variety of birds often seen. Visit the Hollow Mountain at Ben Cruachan, Bonawe Iron Works in Taynuilt, Inveraray Jail, or the ruins of Kilchurn Castle for great days out. The bustling harbour town of Oban is only 18 miles away by road and boasts a variety of seafood restaurants, shops, a cinema and leisure centre. Oban is known as the Gateway to the Inner Isles and from the harbour you can catch a short ferry crossing to one of the Inner Isles, including Mull, Staffa and Iona.
Outdoor enthusiasts will not be disappointed, with kayaking, mountain biking, walking, climbing and fishing all popular sports and available nearby. There are plenty of ruined castles, museums and beautiful gardens to explore. For guests who are looking for a holiday to just relax, the large decked area at the cottage will allow you to enjoy a glass of wine, take in the superb scenery and watch the sun go down. Beach 13½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
