The route can be joined at any point and passes near Inverallan and takes in magical coastal routes to rolling hills and forests.
The county town of Dumfries is just 4 miles away and provides a wide range of amenities, as well as many interesting historical sites including Burns House, the home of the famous Scottish poet, Robert Burns. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, this area has many beautiful gardens to visit, including Threave Gardens and Logan Botanic Gardens, Scotland’s most exotic garden.
The kids are well entertained in the area with farm and play parks, ice cream parlours, chocolate factories and much more. Almost on your doorstep there are some supreme mountain biking and challenging hill walks, and with some of the darkest skies in the world where better to end the day than at Inverallan.
