Husabost House is thoughtfully arranged to suit a variety of guests. On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom with two single beds, making it convenient for guests who prefer to avoid stairs. Also downstairs is a modern wet room. Upstairs you’ll find two further bedrooms: a spacious king-size room and a comfortable double bedroom, along with a shower room.
Outside, the cottage is surrounded by a large garden where guests can enjoy the fresh Atlantic air and peaceful island setting. Directly opposite the house lies Anashar Beach, a beautiful stretch of sand that’s perfect for morning walks, wildlife spotting, or simply taking in the breathtaking coastal views.
Baleshare itself is a quiet and scenic island connected to North Uist by the Baleshare Causeway. The island is known for its unspoilt beaches, rich birdlife, and archaeological sites. Just across the causeway on North Uist, visitors can explore the nature reserve at Balranald RSPB Reserve, famous for corncrakes and coastal wildlife. Further afield, day trips can take you to the historic standing stones at Callanish Stones on Isle of Lewis, the white sandy beaches of South Uist, or the dramatic mountain scenery of Harris.
Whether you’re seeking wildlife, history, outdoor adventure, or simply the tranquillity of island life, Husabost House provides a wonderful and relaxing place to stay. (To avoid disappointment, book your ferry as soon as possible)
