The coastal towns of Scarborough and Filey are also easily accessible, and after fun-filled days of sight-seeing, visitors can return to the comfort of this delightful holiday home and the relaxing bubbles of the hot tub! Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 2 miles.

Great stay in handy location. Travelled as a family of 4 with 2 small children (4 and 1) and the cottage had everything we need. If using the travel cot, you'll need to take a mattress with you, also there is no bath (just incase you need for a small baby). Kids loved the giant shower anyway. Everything is very new, super clean and modern. Very handy for a day trip to York, local farm parks are great for kids and the nearby village of Strensall is very beautiful with nice playparks. Would recommend for a family holiday.

Rose Cottage is a great place to stay. It is well equipped and the bed is very comfortable. The lounge suit not so comfortable, but is adequate. The small enclosed outside area is great for the dog, and a very relaxing hot tub. The location was perfect for our needs, as everywhere we went was north of York. York itself is only a 15-20 minute drive.
