Visitors can easily enjoy trips to nearby Ludlow with its castle, racecourse and numerous festivals. Enjoy a trip to Bishop’s Castle with its market town and home brewers, Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, Carding Mill Valley, Ironbridge, Bridgenorth, Attingham Park (NT) and Shewsbury. Other places of interest include Presteigne, home to the Judges Lodging, Churchstoke Country park, Powys Castle (NT) and Llanfair Light Railway. Shops and pub 2 miles.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning area. Very well equipped. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a rural area, this is the place to go. Lots of beautiful countryside to explore. Gail and Nick are very welcoming. Would most definitely recommend.

we received a warm welcome and an assurance that we could contact the owners if there was anything we were unsure about. The cottage is not only well-equipped and comfortable, but it also has a homely atmosphere. We felt we were in a cosy home rather than in a holiday cottage. We would certainly like to plan a return visit. Eiluned Rees

We cannot recommend Hope Cottage highly enough, we were made extremely welcome with a lovely cake and eggs from the Resident chickens. The cottage was warm and cosy and we did not want to leave - a lovely birthday treat. Thank you Gail and Nick.

Hope cottage is rural so you need to drive everywhere, although if your into walking there is a track at the back that goes for miles but you cant walk via the road as no footpath. we enjoyed our stay and the owners were very friendly.

A top value cottage but the access from the main road lets it down. Our car had to be reversed up hill on an unmade lane which in the dark is most unnerving.

This is our 3rd visit to Hope Cottage. The cottage is great for the 3 of us plus the fog, really comfortable, well equipped, cosy and just far away to get away from it all and relax. There is plenty to do and the cottage has an abundance of literature for all contingencies, there are plenty of walks from the cottage or from the Offas Dyke Centre in Knighton. Ludlow is only 20-30 mins away with great shopping, sights and restaurants. We are already planning out next visit, that is how much we love Hope Cottage. PS, the welcome pack is really nice too.

A very nice place to stay with plenty to keep you occupied (especially if you have a dog and a fondness for country walks) and easy access to the rest of Shropshire. If your taste is for relaxing rather than raucous, we can thoroughly recommend Hope Cottage.
