Converted from old farm buildings, The Stables (ref UKC657) and The Arches (ref UKC1364) retain many of their original features, with exposed wood beams and attractive stonework and are full of character and spacious. The Stables has a delightful conservatory and a cosy living room with a wood burner, and The Arches enjoys an open fire and an enclosed paved outdoor space with garden furniture. Slingsby is a charming village with a renowned country pub, a farm shop and children’s play park.Nestling in the shelter of the Howardian Hills, the cottages provide an ideal base for exploring the beautiful countryside, miles of footpaths and quaint villages. Castle Howard is close by, one of Britain’s finest stately homes and gardens. Visit the market towns of Malton, Helmsley and Pickering and the ancient walled city of York, 16 miles away. Local attractions include Flamingo Land and Eden Camp. The North York Moors National Park and the traditional seaside resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey are all easily accessible. Shop, pub and restaurant 150 yards.The properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 guests.
