Tucked away on a quiet lane in the village of Docking with duck pond, shop, tennis court and fishing lake all within walking distance. Burnham Market is 5 miles, seaside towns of Hunstanton and Wells-next-the-Sea within 10 miles. Close to the Royal Sandringham Estate and Holkam Hall. Fakenham, 10 miles. Holt, 24 miles. Norwich and Norfolk Broads an hour’s drive. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

    Beautiful cottage the info in the cottage book and online needs updating the pub is no longer there its a row of cottages the other pub is quite a walk away. The refuse was not collected as info said to put in blue bin and should of said black! A pint of milk in the fridge would of been nice. Apart from that it was perfect

    Response on behalf of the owner; We are delighted you had a perfect stay in our beautiful cottage. We have checked the information provided in the property as well as on our website. The only pub we refer to is The Railway Inn which is within a mile of Hollyhocks. The green recycling and blue waste bin are collected on Tuesdays. The Spar shop in the village is open 10 hours each day and guests generally prefer to buy fresh milk of their own choosing.

    The cottage overall was lovely. Upon arrival we discovered that the fire was not an open one, but it was electric, but the plug had been cut so wasnt able to be used.

    Response on behalf of the owner. We are pleased that this guest rated Hollyhocks Cottage 10 for cleanliness and 8 for comfort and equipment. Docking is a thriving Norfolk village with pub, fish and chip shop, village shop open 14 hours a day and post office to name just a few of its amenities. It is situated 5 miles inland but with easy access to all the major tourist spots and this is reflected in its price. Careful reading of the website shows that there is not a wood burner. Instead, we have a highly efficient oil fired central heating system which ensures that the cottage is always warm and cosy.
