Lovely cottage. Could do with Wifi and maybe a bedroom TV but otherwise excellent.

Generally nice cottage in a good location, but let down by the cleaning. Loo not cleaned properly !! Main bedroom carpet not clean e.g. hairs & nail clippings on floor. We left the cottage cleaner then when we found it so should be good for the next visitors ! Nice kitchen, but surfaces, fridge & around bin (which is in a cupboard under the sink) needed a wipe down. One bathroom window does not close, ok for a warm July, but could be a problem in colder months and the other bathroom window doesn’t open or close easily. No WiFi, but good phone signal. Owner popped in to say hello shortly after we arrived so we hadn’t identified the above.

Holly Bank is in a really nice, quiet location, with the cottage being well equipped, clean, and comfy, which also happens to have spacious, private car parking. Critch has shops for your basics, i.e. butchers, bakers etc., but some businesses have strange opening times/days. Overall, we had no complaints about the accommodation or the area. Would we stay there again? Definitely.
